A fortunate coincidence

Did you know this ? As far as I am concerned, I didn't, I confess. And yet, I'm a railway fan since about 30 years, model railways in particular. Until that rainy day of October 2003, I was unaware that could exist reproductions of French (or so-called) rolling stock, in this scale so scarcely practised in France, namely in TT scale.

Actually, a friend of mine, having heard of my interest in railway stuff, had proposed to me a set of models "in a scale smaller than HO" as he said to me. As he opened the trunk of his car, I naively expected to discover a N scale train set, and I don't need to say how much I was surprised when I saw the set lid.

Inside, I discovered three goods trucks of typically French aspect, an engine of unknown type, as well as the rails of the network.

But I was still going from surprise to surprise by examining the catalogue offered with the set. Indeed, in addition to TT scale models, the first part is devoted to HO models of the VB company (and including some models from HOrnby-acHO).

Why this site?

There are many sites about the TT scale models of Tri-ang, but most of them are devoted to the British models. For this reason, it appeared interesting to me to dedicate this one to the "continental" models (understand "French" !) of this brand. I hope that you'll have as much pleasure in reading these pages, as I had in writing them !
Don't hesitate to contact me should you see errors, omissions or for any other reason !

Many thanks to Ph. S. for this very beautiful gift, which helped me complementing my knowledge about model railways.
